Another classic H-B cartoon. Ed Love's designs and expressions on Ranger Smith are worth watching. H-B must have let each animator have a distinctive style, kind of like the classic Warner Bros cartoons.
The first and second seasons were probably the best. The action was a little more expressive than the "talking head" reputation H-B cartoons got later. Ed Love did a Jinks cartoon called 'Sour Puss' where the cat's got teeth all over the place. Warren Foster kind of has two cartoons in one here. The first half is a narrative and the second half is spot gags.
