New Stuff and a New Character!

Some updates for those who read this blog. Here's a title sequence for the cartoon Mousse in Boots, starring Ralph and Lionel.

And on a major note, I've got a new character for the Bear & Eli cartoons!
This is Elanor, an orange toy elephant from the Bear and Eli universe. She's sort of a female counterpart of Eli. She's fun-loving, yet sensible like Bear. Her beret suggests her creative side. She loves to paint and come up with stories. She appears to have a crush on Eli, but he prefers that they stay friends thanks to his child-like persona. She's Bear's best friend aside from Eli and have a lot of fun writing stories together. She's the only character in the series that talks with a Mid-Atlantic accent.

Elanor's design comes from one of my own toy elephants. Like Elanor, she's orange with a green flower on her tummy. Who knows? I may wind up making Eli a best friend too. :)

ALIEN!!

Another character I never introduced. So far, this alien is a naturalist from a planet far away from our galaxy. He's also from the future. He'll be featured in a few cartoons abducting Ralph and Benny for the sake of science.

Also shown is how his species evolved from frogs, which explains how he's from the future. There's also his "baby portrait".

I actually have been drawing this character many years before I came up with Ralph and yet I never gave him a name...

Dr. StrangeSquirrel or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Giving Cartoon Enemies the Bomb

I can't remember if I had a story to go with these drawings. What I do remember is that this was a rather dark gag sequence for Benny and Gordon. I remember Gordon looking for Benny in a war aircraft, but winds up where the bombs are kept. He looks for the squirrel while on top of one of the bombs to get a better look. Benny from the side pushes a button, releasing the bomb with Gordon riding it until he and the bomb plummets to Earth. Benny pays his final respects to his enemy, then shrugs it off relieved of his troubles.

Here's two different title cards for the cartoon, Eli's New Pet. I have several like this where I have more than one pick for theme music. So would you guys like to see #1 or #2 on the final cartoon? It would help if you commented on which one to stick with.

Guess Who?

Golf Balls Taste Good?

Here's a layout for a scene from Gordon's Goofy Gopher when the gopher finds a golf ball in his burrow and examines it by first smelling it, then tasting it. Believe me, he ain't too happy with golf balls in his burrow!

I've changed the gopher from Scottish to Brooklyn-Bronx and the setting is now from Gordon's home to a golf course.

More Credits

More of my own title cards for the cartoons It's a Dog's Life, I Guess, Smart-Alec-Kazam!, and Bathtime for Eli . Now with animated credits!
