The Acorny Squirrel

Winter aproacheth, and poor Benny forgets to forage food for the winter. Thankfully, he finds a whole stash of acorns wedged in an elm tree. The catch is that they're guarded by a mean-spirited acorn woodpecker.

Seriously, I need to rename this one. Suggestions?

訪問日本から!ラルフのカズンリロイ!

Ralph's Japanese cousin Leroy comes to visit him. Everything seems to go OK except whenever Leroy sees Lionel, he goes berserk and wants to fight him to the death.

Leroy is Ralph's cousin from Japan. He looks like a Pokemon but is actually a mouse like Ralph. Around his American cousin, he's a very ...considerate, polite person. However, when provoked or whenever he bumps into a cat, he can turn into a neurotic sociopath who demands a fight using his bizarre powers.

Leroy is a satire of Japanese anime cartoons (specifically Pokemon). He's brown like Ralph, but has pink eyes and pointier ears. His tail alos makes a lightning bolt shape.

Mousse in Boots

You know the story of Puss in Boots, right? He's an accomplish ogre killer and slayer of evil monsters across the kingdom. There's just one thing he never did count on: Ralph!

Starring Lionel as Puss and Boots and Ralph as the mouse that kicks his butt.

Fire-Alarm Chilé

After he saves his family's home from a disastrous fire, Chilé decides to join his little pueblo town's fire fighting squad. He gets the job easily with Chief Sanchez. Let's see if our favorite chinchilla can handle the heat in his first adventure!

If you noticed, Chilé now looks a little slimmer than before. Just a little redesign after drawing the character for a year.

An Egg-Cited Vulture

The Egyptian vulture is the world's smallest Old World vulture. Unlike other vultures, this one prefers to eat unhatched ostrich eggs. One problem: ostriches lay big eggs. Ours tries to break the egg with various schemes from boxing with it from having to use dynamite. All of which don't work by the way.

This one is intended to be a one-shot short for a series in the show called Nature's Way about some of nature's most obscure creatures. I'll probably have more like this one in the future. They'll all be silent cartoons featuring only music to help set the mood.

By the way, the Egyptian vulture is a real bird. It actually looks something like this:

A Clockwork Benny

After a long day of working the night shift, Benny's ready to enjoy a day's sleep. At the same time, an operatic songbird wakes up and wants to greet the day by singing a la Pavarotti. Despite the bird's intentions, Benny is annoyed and does whatever he can to shut the bird up so he can sleep.

This cartoon won't have dialogue. Instead, the short will be driven by classical music and the bird's various opera tunes. It'll feature some music that played in the movie "A Clockwork Orange" like "The Thieving Magpie" or Beethoven's 9th Symphony. Plus we get to see a darker side of Benny you would never see in his other cartoons.

I have the feeling this may be a season hit if the show ever passes.

Alpine Antics

Gordon wants to take a vacation to the Swiss Alps for skiing and relaxation. There's a small catch: Benny's there too for the same reasons. They're even forced to share the same rented cabin! Later, an avalanche caves them in the cabin, forcing them to be together! Will they escape or will Gordo lose his mind?

It's a Dog's Life, I Guess...

A little girl walks down the street one day looking for her lost chihuahua. She sees Ralph and mistakes him for her lost dog. He goes along with the gag, trying not to hurt the poor kid's feelings. After seeing that her family is rich and owns a big house, Ralphie makes himself at home. However, he learns about the drawbacks of being a dog (like a trip to the vet) and after a while, runs away himself. After escaping, he manages to find the real lost dog and reunites it with it's master.

Of Mice and Ducklings

Ralph wakes up one morning in his home at the city park. He goes for some bread crumbs for breakfast, but gets stopped by a gang of ducklings. After being forced to give up his breakfast, Ralph sits by the pond wondering how he's gonna get food now. After a while, he gets an idea: dress as a duckling himself to get not only food but a little payback as well!

The Devil and Fred and Lenny

In the island of Tasmania, Fred and Lenny are looking for tree kangaroos for the zoo they sponsor. Before they find anything, they find a small black marsupial called a Tasmanian devil. After learning they're rare, Fred goes out of his way to catch it using every trick in the book, but gets mauled by the devil every time he does. In the end, Lenny actually catches it!

Ralphie and the Wolf

Pretty much "Peter and the Wolf", starring Ralph as Peter. Set to the music by Sergei Prokofiev.

Gordon's Garden Gopher

Gorden is gardening one day to find that all his vegetable are destroyed. The culprit is a Scottish gopher with an appetite for trouble. The Irish monkey now tries to get rid of the problem, but screws up constantly thanks to the pest.

Gorden's first solo cartoon.

Pet Peeves

In India, the Gupta family have a rat problem. While the wife claims that a mongoose is the best way to control rats, the husband (for whatever reason) thinks a tame cobra is the way. So they find one of each animal and make a deal with them: whoever gets rid of the rats first stays. So the two of them try their own ways to earn their keep. The mongoose, however, tries to mess up the poor cobra's methods. Which one will stay?

Big Baby Blues

At the stork's baby delivery service, there is an undelivered baby that has to be taken to it's mother. The only worker that volunteers is Ralph. What he doesn't know is that he's delivering a baby elephant. It's difficult, but someone's gotta do it!

Treading on Hot Water or Love Sinks

Fred and Lenny go to the Amazon to catch a basilisk, a type of lizard famous for running on water. Unlike all of the other animals they try to catch, this one WANTS to be with the two animal collectors. Why?

It turns out that the basilisk they catch is a female and winds up having a crush on Fred. She even goes out of her way to hug, kiss, or dance with him even if he can't walk on water. Will her love last? Or will the dwarf crocodile have to break the ice?

The climax of this cartoon involves the basilisk and Fred performing a tango while Fred is half-submerged in water and his partner perfectly strides on the surface of the water. As Fred reluctantly "dances with his partner", Lenny watches from the shore of the river and tries to see what's going on.

If you noticed, the last drawing's in color! I'm gonna post drawings in ink and color from here on out. :D

Here's some music I'd love to use specifically for this cartoon.

Eli's New Pet

After Bear and Eli's "mother", Suzy, tells them about her getting a new puppy, Eli becomes disheartened because now he wants a pet of his very own. Felling sorry for him, Bear suggests they go to the pet store to look. They argue about whether to get a kitten or a puppy. When no one was looking, all the animals escape and it's up to Bear and Eli to get them back to the store. In the end, Bear surprises Eli with a brand new puppy.

Based on characters and script created by Vicki Wood. Probably the first Bear and Eli cartoon I'll make.

One Flew Over the Monkey's Nest

An acorn falls hits Benny's head hard enough to give him amnesia. This prompts him to actually start acting nice towards his nemesis, Gordon the monkey. Gordo likes the new squirrel at first, but when Benny starts popping up in random places in the monkey's house he finds Benny more annoying than before and pretty much loses his mind. This makes Gordo want to turn Benny back to normal, whatever it takes.

Monster Mouse

In this story, Lionel (the Siamese cat) is chasing Ralph in an apartment-like complex. Ralph makes his way inside a door that says "Dr. Jekyll" and tries to hide inside a bottle that says "Hyde Formula". This turns him into a Godzilla-like monster and pretty much scares Lionel out of his fur. Just when things turn out good for Ralph, he changes back to normal and the chase goes on. Just as the cat catches the mouse, Ralphie turns back into the monster. In the end we fin ut that Lionel was just dreaming and freaks out again when he sees Ralph in his normal form.

Figured this would be good for a Halloween cartoon. :)

Bathtime for Eli

It's bath day for Bear and Eli. After Bear finishes hers, it's time for Eli's. One small problem: Eli hates taking baths and tries to get out of taking it. Bear makes several attempts to get him to take his bath, but misses her chance each time. And every time she does get Eli, he escapes somehow. Will Eli ever get clean?

^Here's a theme for whenever Eli is being forced to take a bath with Bear pushing him to the tub. (Petulant Penguin by Dennis Farnon)

The Nutty Pipsqueaks

The Nutty Pipsqueaks

An old zoo elephant has a butt load of peanuts, but isn't too eager to share them. One o the peanuts rolls into Ralph's home (which is surprisingly right next door to the elephant's area in the zoo), eats some of it, and tries to fin out where it came from. He does and tries to get away with a few, but before he can, the old elephant sees him and blasts him out of his exhibit. Benny the squirrel also finds out about the peanuts, but winds up the same way Ralph did, getting kicked out. Then the two meet and decide to hatch up many different plans to get even with the pompous pachyderm!

Ralph and Benny might actually make good partners. With their personalities combined, it'd be like a small, furry version of Bing Crosby and Bob Hope's partnership.
